so i am in the process of striping my engine down to give it a clean so its ready to go into my ute in a few months once the paint is done... Just after any helpful hints anyone may have or any things to look out for.

I have got my hands on a set of brand new AA gaskets for the entire engine. i will also be going through each section to give it a good clean up..

any thoughts?

Tip: don't replace any gaskets unless they are leaking.

To clean the engine, remove the alternator and starter, bag the distributor and use commercial engine degreaser, they kind sold by oil companies.
