Jeff/R-fastmotorsport in the blue 310 coupe SR20VE powered.
Congrats to both being top 10 in Under 2L! Simon 3rd in unders is a massive achievement, and Jeff 9th in a very tough field at the National Championships. Damian in the silver 120Y was 9th in Overs, running SR20 turbo. Big achievement since the car was only first on the track a few months ago. And Chris in the white 1200 coupe runs an SR16 - well, last time I saw him a few years ago anyway.

Well spotted Harry! The photo is a result of having to use a standard gearbox instead of the close ratio ...... Lazy third instead of a strong second.
Thought we broke a selector fork Friday arvo so qualified using second and fourth while a standard 'junk' gearset was sent from Bris Saturday morn. Geoff Fear at SSS organised bits and helped remove the box, stripped it to find a broken selector shaft and the spares box was a later model so selector shaft would not interchange. Had to put in the unknown, dirty, junk gearset and hope for the best. Finished the event but she is a grinding howler now - gave its life for the cause!! Great track - Queensland's best kept secret I reckon! Cheers.

Makes the top 10 result even more impressive mate. The picture certainly shows you were pushing it for all it's worth!
It's a fun track alright. I've only used the new long circuit once in 2010. Back when I used to race there in my old L18 1200 coupe in the early 2000's that layout hadn't even been dreamt of. It was stil good fun. Hell back then they had only just extended the track over the hill, in 01 when I sarted there it was just the short curcuit on this side of the hill! The place is always improving. I hear BBC Top Gear were out there Monday and Today with Clarkson driving a Morris V8 Supercar COTF.

What a weekend! You are spot on Jeff, a great circuit. It took me a while to get my head around it tho.
Ive gone to 215's Ange. Its a bit hard to feel the diference, but it was not as loose coming off the turns. This may be because of a rear roll center change tho. I blew an engine 1 week before i was going to leave for QLD. It was a stressfull week getting an engine together in time. Thanks to Ernie for his help over the phone with valve spring pressures and oil recomendations. Put the engine together on the Tuesday, in Tueday night. Tuned Wed morn and loaded up and gone by Wed arvo! I had huge help from a couple of Vic IPRA members, without this I wouldnt have even made it, let alone achieved the result. This weekend has really made me appreciate how much of a team game this is. You can view topic.
