Inner Front Guard Replacement

Has anyone replaced a inner front guard/hood ledge on a 1200? I have accident damaged in my 1200 ute on the LHS beyond fixing and was wondering the best way of doing it.
I know you cant get genuine panels anymore and I haven't seen any aftermarket inner guards on the market, so I will have to cut one out from a donor car. Where would be the best place to cut it from? All the way to the firewall including the strut tower or can I cut the damage out before the strut tower and weld in donor panel? Thanks Joel

Apc panels do a few of replacement parts for 1200's maybe ask him to make one
He's on face book and sells stuff on ebay
