Quick block question

Should the oil gallery behind the cam gear be taped and pluged? I know the 4 on the side of the block should.

But can I drill and tap in instead? The machine shop that sonic cleaned my block lost it.

Drill and tap would be fine. Be sure to clear any metal filings out of there though.
