Hello fellow Datsun lovers.
I am trying to install the following speedometer and gauge combo-set (See pictures) on my 1978 B210/120Y, but I have no idea where all the wires go (see picture). The old set had no wires other than the speedometer output and the 11 pin connector. I think the new one come from your guys side of the world. This is why I am posting here. The ones here in the USA only reads up to 100MPH and the new one reads up to 120MPH Hope you guys can help me figure this one out. Hi Ed, long time no see.
The box with red wire is for a late B210 (USA versions had it too). Just leave it disconnected, and the speedometer will still work perfectly. I doubt if Australian B210s gauges will fit, as RHD/LHD have different angles of mounting. In Australia they came with 100mph for A-12 powered B210 (120Y). North America was not fitted with A12 engine. ![]() North America had 120mph speedometers too ![]()

Thank you ddgonzal for the response.
So my guess was totally wrong :( we do have this in the USA. Anywho, I will leave the wires from the little relay looking box alone. What about the blue and black wire that is coming out of the speedometer? The black wire looks like a grown wire and the blue wire goes to a switch looking thing that gets activated by trip-meter I believe. You can view topic.
