if an A-12 is a 1.2 it would be a normal jo blogs lojical thinking an A-14 is a 1.4 and an A-15 is a 1.5 and an A-10 is a 1.0 (out of a 1000) would jo blog be right

as goes with 1600, 180b, 200b are 1.6,1.8,2.0 most cars with numbers in the name refer to engine size usually nissan/datsun and bmw do it

im guessing im am write and what motor was in the 1600 and did it have 1600 cc's and im guesing it was a 1.6

Yep, a L16, This is why some places call the Aussie 1600 by it's body type eg. 510. Because it also shipped with L13, L18 in some places.

do u guys think that a L16 out of 510 will fit easily in my B-310 which currently has A12 motor. as someone on this site said that later model datsuns also came with L series engines.

check out l-series to 120y, im guessing it would be similar to this but not 100% sure

I'd go the L18, with twin webers. The L20B is too tall. You couldn't close the bonnet/hood. Being a B310 (Sunny) I think this would be a nice modification. The L16 powered Stanza(A10) crossmember would be the one to look at. I'm a 1200 guy. So I'm not sure. I expect you'd need to find a suitably short gearbox to fit. I only encourage research on this, because I think the B210 and B310 and A10 have similar crossmember dimensions. Chris You can view topic.
