#1 Wheel Bearing help
Avizhome Posted on: 2016/1/16 8:12
Hi Guys,
I bought this new wheel bearing kit for my 1200 ute which came with a "collar" as well. However I cant find a way to fit the whole thing with collar :( Without collar everything fits fine. Was wondering if there is a purpose for that collar.
I am pretty sure there was none with the old bearing.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Ron

That is part of the bearing, it's called the outer race. The old one is stuck in the hub, you can knock it out with a drift (or a screwdriver). The carefully tap the new one in evenly all the way in, be careful not to put a mark on it
