A14 turbo Electronic fuel pump help?

Hey guys i have setup an A14 turbo setup into a mates 1200 sedan with a t28 turbo with intercooler into a 32/26 weber it runs quite alright but its completely dying off when getting into the higher rpm now its currently on the stock mechanical pump which is more of the concern with the fuel regulator showing around 3.4 psi which is just too low for the turbo setup
Now i have a bosch 44 electronic fuel pump i can throw inline but my question is will i need to put in a raising fuel rate regulator or just run it through to the carb on the exisiting fuel pressure regulator and just adjust it on that regulator? And if i do need a raising fuel rate regulator will i need to setup a surge tank with return line back into the tank?

He is running a carburetor, which already has a kind of surge tank (the fuel bowl). So no external surge tank is required
Is this setup using a carburetor top hat, or is the carburetor boxed in?

32/36 DGV requires per Weber requires a low-pressure fuel feed (2.5 to 3 lbs)
With a top hat, it's likely running 10 psi boost or less. So 13.0 psi maximum fuel pressure (3 psi over the boost level). A rising rate regulator makes for more consistent jetting, it you don't use one then the pressure'll have to be cranked up and jetting brute forced Malpassi rising rate regulator BO18058 Carb Turbo $112 AUD You can view topic.
