#1 Fuel Prices
SaCoupe73 Posted on: 2016/3/19 1:55
The price of petrol in Adelaide (South Australia) has been up / down a lot in the last coupe of weeks.

So I was wondering what are people around the world paying for Fuel?

If we use the America dollar and US gallon as the standard
we can compare who is paying the most and least.

3.88 litres in an American Gallon

So today 19/03/2016 in Adelaide standard 95 octane petrol Is $1.06 per litre.

Exchange rate today is $1 Us Dollar = $1.31 Au

So I payed $3.14 Us per Gallon

What did you pay?????????

Cheers
Geoff

About $2.50 per gallon here in Seattle. We're high for the US. I was in a rural area and paid $1.99. I haven't done that since high school.

It was under $1/gallon in 1999 in Washington (0.26/liter). I remember it cost less about $8 to fill my 1200 back in 1989 (under a dollar/gallon in Washington state)

Here in Hawaii it is currently:
* $2.29 Costco (0.59/liter)
* $2.99 traditional station

Yes, USA has so much oil, the price is low. More oil than Saudi Arabia the last couple of years. So they drop their price ...

Here in Utah it's now $1.79 per gallon, up from $1.65 a few weeks ago.
For the first time in decades there is not one oil rig drilling in the intermountain west, with oil priced in the low $30 range no one can afford to drill anymore.

You are right on the money D.
We get srewed over big time over here but what is very clearly a cartel of oil companies.
Our government seem totally disinterested in pursuing this issue simply because its a great revenue earner for them- especially by the time they apply the final insult of GST on top of the taxes they have already applied.
