Are pictures from old threads stored on the site.

I can't really answer your question but have you looked through the thread for the photos you are after? When you go into any of the forums there is a drop down box almost at the bottom of the page that lets you select how recent the thread are that you want to view - it does give you the option for all threads "from the beginning".
I would expect that photos upload to the site would still be available but if they were hosted externally the links or hosting may be dead.

That's right:
* If they uploaded the pics to the thread, they'll still be there * If they linked in pics from some other web site, they may still be there or they may be gone Someone may have a copy of the photos, let us know which thread you are interested in
