#1 fuel steel hard line and an size for other lines
thomen Posted on: 2016/9/11 7:15
Hi just wondering when doing an efi upgrade of a mild street car for hard lines and engine bay lines for steel lines would 3/8" be ok? and an-6 or an-8 for the rest?

Thanks,
Tom

1/4" (6mm) line will be fine for up to 100 hp mild street engine
5/16" line is good for up to 250 hp
3/8" line is used by 7.4 lite V8 (or 375 HP turbo Nissans)

So is 5/16 usually best mated with 6an fittings?
I'm thinking of doing it once and never having to swap it out again! famous last words :)

Lots of nice setups do not use AN fittings. Millions of EFI vehicles with high-pressure fuel systems don't use AN fittings

If you like the looks, go for the AN system

I actually don't really like the look of them I'd prefer something more classic

I run 1/2 up and 3/8 on the return. Separate 3/8 line and pump for the wet nitrous. All AN fittings.
I'm guessing I'm over 375hp.
