#1 a14egi vs 15egi
smariese Posted on: 2016/10/13 18:44
hi all..

Found one a14egi today. incomplete wiring and no computerbox no flywheel.
What is the difference between a14e and a15e?
as i can notice, the exhaust manifold, obviously the piston/block size.

how about the cam shaft? inlet manifold? throttle body?

* Same differences as regular A14 and A15 (pistons & crank). Flywheels are same
* Cams are same (GX type, 6400 RPM peak power)
* A14E: single outlet exhaust manifold
* A15E: dual outlet exhaust manifold
* both are 92 PS @ 6000 rpm
* A14E - 11.7 kgm @ 3600 rpm (85 ft lb)
* A15E - 12.3 kgm @ 3600 rpm (89 ft lb}

You can use inexpensive aftermarket ECU, see EGI MegaSquirt

Thanks Guru!

So a15e has little more torque.
The head is same like a15e and gx?

The block in my car is from a15e. So its recommended to plug in the whole a14e or just use the head into my a15e block?

Also will there be any gain if I just use the head and maintain the twin su?

A14E and A15E use the same cylinder head. Not like GX, it is more like H89 but with revised ports

You have A15E block now. Which head do you have running in your car now?

I'm running with h89 head. Single valve spring.

The number on the a14e head is h891.

I doubt the head will make much difference, but try it and let us know ... the A14E head should have double valve springs, which is needed for the extra high RPM

yes It has dual valve springs. so the difference only at high rpm?

Not the only difference, but the only obvious difference
