Sounds good Dave but what are the gear ratios on the truck box and what does the trans and motor weigh? Granted the stock package in a 1200 would make it go really well. For me the big 1200 addiction is that snap turn in on corner entry.........I'd hate to give that up. Now granted if I start using my Formula car for vintage racing (it's an 87). I could free up the 1200 as a track day only car this would be a great package, 150-180hp on pump gas and not have to rev the nuts off the motor all the time.

A12 + 4spd = light weight. 69 HP
QR25DE + 5spd = medium weight. 175 HP factory stock QR25DE weighs less than an SR20

There is a 2ltr version of the qr25de = 267lbs
It has shorter stroke crank around 80mm and is supposedly due to crankshaft 12lbs lighter 30% shorter engines than the sr20 and 13% lighter which if an sr20 bare is 100kg the qr25 is 13kg less. However post 08 QR25de update is full counter crank so would be a little heavier again 5lbs? There a Jim Wolfe twin balancer delete removes 8lbs No power steering pump -16lbs No catalic converter aftermarket headers -16lbs? lightweight flywheel and clutch JW 12lbs UR underdrive crank pulley -3lbs FWD engine mounting brackets and other brackets -8lbs around 85-90kg dressed which is nothing 175hp + jim wolfe headers +12hp, balance delete +6-8hp some s1 cams just under 200hp without much sweat the stage 2 or 3 cams add another ???hp Pity QR25DE dont suit the 1200 coupe retro lines ;( if I had to choose Id save up for an sr20ve

Or you could get a Spec V QR25DE which is already 200hp factory warranteed (a lot more HP than the SR20DE Spec V). The 2007-2012 version is the bulletproof one. Earlier engines from 2000-2006 had various problems

Very easy to find. Any USA Nissan pickup 2005-up 4-cylinder 2WD has it
