Who wants to break it to the gent that a Midwest 1200 which has seen 45 years of winter road salt isn't worth a hefty $3,500?

I don't see the 3500.00 either, BUT. It is on Ebay and it hit 3500.00 already.
That one would make a big project, with a bigger bank account. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Datsun-1200-/282356047430

I'm just not a fan of the extra ventilation coming in through the rear bumper. If it's bad there I'd hate to see the actual underside where there isn't any rust protection, such as the gearbox support etc.

Yes, the price of 1200s has gone way up in the last few years

Higher prices in midwest and east coast because there are less of them there. "Location. Location. Location."

SOLD @ $3,500! OMG. I should start collecting minimally rusted Southwest 1200 shells and stashing those to sell for $7k back east. Amazing.

They wont sell at $7000. I've also noticed that obviously flawed 1200s sell better than good ones which don't get one bid. Start the bidding low

The logic behind that baffles me. I guess that's why it's better to go with an auction instead of a set price buy; The heat of the moment makes rationality fly out the window.
