For sale at auction
https://aucview.aucfan.com/yahoo/k493441051 Seller says it's an A15 and indeed the engine stamp says 'A15' however the 5 is off kilter H85 is the B310 Sunny 1978-1982 A12 block with 73mm bore. A15 is 76mm. Can these later A12s be bored out to 77mm? I wonder if an A15 crank would fit in there After thinking about it I marked up some of the photos to show the identifying features. It has a 77mm bore and is marked 'A15' but otherwise is a short-deck A12 block Attach file: 77 mm bore.jpg (77.85 KB)![]() identifying features - Block Code H85, low deck height, ID pad below top of block.jpg (129.32 KB)![]() Left with Non-Equally spaced welsh plugs.jpg (111.48 KB)![]() Bottom - would an A15 crank fit.jpg (130.13 KB)![]() cylinder walls from above.jpg (113.58 KB)![]() cylinder walls from below.jpg (94.02 KB)![]() Left side foreward welch plug, motor mount studs.jpg (116.03 KB)![]() Top.jpg (123.21 KB)![]() Right.jpg (132.66 KB)![]()

nice find but also there were low height A13 engines with 76mm bores and 70mm crank as well as tall block A13 with 77mm strokes last I recall. Maybe they used an A13 short height block? Datsun peeps are spoilt for A series combos.
