So for an A12 engine in USA that means only the Datsun 1200 and the 1979-1982 Datsun 210
* 1970-1973 Datsun B110 (1200) * 1979-1982 Datsun B310 (210) with A12 "1200" engine One in Lawton, OK Phoenix, AZ Lewiston, ID Somerville, MA Kittatas, WA https://www.car-part.com 1973 Nissan 1200 Transmission MT Prices varies up to $350. If you can find one locally they can often be had for $50 including LQK, pickapart, and pullapart yards. Few want them instead the 5-speed goes for $500 to $1000 used 1974 Nissan B210 "1300" 4-speed $100 and many more ... it uses the same 4-speed as the Datsun 1200 only for 1974. In 1975 it went heavy-duty 1980 Nissan 210 A12/4-speed TX $225 CA $299 CA $275 The heavy-duty 4-speed fits (from A14/1400 and A14/1500 cars) but requires a modification to the gearbox crossmember, and the reverse lights don't work. These gearboxes are more common and less expensive 1980 Nissan 210 A14/4-speed MT $150-$200 AL NY PA Any Datsun 4-speed from 1970 to 1982 will replace it * 1970-1973 Datsun B110 (1200) * 1974-1978 Datsun B210 * 1979-1982 Datsun B310 (210) Any Datsun 4-speed from 1970 to 1982 will replace it * 1975-1978 Datsun B210 (A14/1400) * 1979-1982 Datsun B310 (210) with A14/A15 engines A 5-speed from a Datsun 210 (B310) can be made to fit and will up the fuel economy from 38mpg to 45mpg. It needs custom crossmember and the reverse light switch modified, or just run w/o working reverse lights You can view topic.
