Nope, a 32/36 is a downdraught, whereas the GX manifold is for twin sidedraughts.

See the Tech Section article Weber 32/36 Carburetor

Now you'll be wanting info on the GX parts. See the Engine Tech Section, there is an article on the A12GX engine, including pics.

The bolt pattern of the GX manifold is different from a regular A12 (it's more like an A14, but slightly different from even that).

Is a 32/36 webber to much for a standard A12???
I have one on my 1600 that i was thinking of putting on my new 1200 ute...
Will the adapter plate fit the A12 manifold or are they different to the L series???

I believe the real GX heads (there are many A14 heads out there being called GX heads) have two studs for inlet manifold. so if you got an A14/15 oval port manifold and drilled it to suit the two stud GX head, or drill and tap the head for the extra studs the A14/15 manifolds use. I can't see why that would be a problem

don't you have the GX manifold and Hitachi SU carbs?

The 32/36 is not "too big" for an A12 engine. If you want smooth response and the best fuel economy, stick with the stock Hitachi, but if you want to rev the engine up high, the 32/36 is a good carb.

The L-series carb has a different bolt pattern, so the carb (or the adapter) won't fit on the A-series manifold.

Can you get a 32/36 manifold to fit a GX head? Probably not new ... usually an adapter is used with 32/36 carbs. Plus, all the GX manifolds I've seen are dual side-drafts. If you have a GX head, best to use the GX manifold and its twin carbs.

I originally got the GX head with the twin SU carbs. When I bought the rally car I got a manifold for twin Dellorto/Weber's thrown in, and it sits nice and snug on the GX head. I am gonna turf the twin SU's and find a set of Dellorto's/Weber's (twins) to suit. I reckon they will be about 40's.
