Carb for an A12

My standard A12 carbie is screwed big time. I have changed top covers, main bodies etc but it still dosent fix my problem. The problem is the fuel doesnt squirt through that pipe/
jet into the venturi, instead it squeezes through the top cover and main body. I tried running it again but it choked and flames lept out of the carb. So, Im sick of mucking about and I have decided to get a new/second hand Weber. Does anyone know what size will suit a stock A12, without changing any engine internals. I am happy to change manifolds. Also what sort of price am i looking at. Cheers Simon

i had a 180 holley for my a12, i got it from dds automotive in moonah, but they dont have a dyno which is the way to go, Howlles (also in moonah ) which seem to do a good job have a
dyno if your willing to spend abit of money on dyno time . ialso tried 2 webbers off 4 cyliner fords but both were stuffed, Morris from dds sayed he put one on his old 1200 a12 coupe and it did the trick, as for adapter plates redline sells universal adapter for the standard manifold ,ihope this helps

Hey wassup,
hows stuff. My Dad just employed a dude, he's a 1600 freak, I won't hold that against him though... :) anyways he has the killer carb, he was trying to sell it to me, but my carb is fine, he wanted $100 nz for it, thats only like $90 aust or something, anyways from memory i think it was a weber. But with the right jets it would be sik, he reckons it made his car go real hard, but now hes converted to a FJ20 setup, it goes pretty hard, and a half... If your keen I can find out exact specs. sweet.

I am keen, because im aching to get my car over the pits for rego, somehow I dont think they will regeister it if it doesnt go. :(
If you could find out some specs for me that would be great, also things like what sort of condition it is in. I should be able to get a new manifold or adaptor to fit depending on what sort of carb it is. Thanks, Simon
