Hello everybody, does anybody know if the original Datsun tachometer works together with the MSD 6AL ignitionbox/system. What do you guys think about MSD ignitions, are they worth the cost?? Because I am turbocharging my engine I am in need of more sparkpower and I also need a revlimiter so for me the MSD 6AL is the perfect choice!!

Yep they work with the standard tacho.. I use MSD gear and rate them extremely highly. Their technical helpline guys are also very knowledgable. On my racecar I used 2 6 AL units to fire the twin rotor coils, but I now have a 7 AL unit with the timing firing leading and trailing at the same time. I also run an MSD unit in my other halfs V8 Falcon. Just don't try touching any leads when the engine is running it's instant afro material !!!
