Ok so I am digging through all my engine stuff last night. These are parts I have had for over ten years and there is some stuff I cannot identify;
Two camshafts one has Americam #1 stamped in it. These cams were supposed to be Nissan option 1 and option 2 cams.
Next are two of the cylinder heads. The ported head has round ports but a combustion small combustion chamber like the GX head. The standard looking head has larger combustion chamber but oval ports.all the other heads I have are round port large combustion chamber
Can anybody tell me why the differances.

I used to have a round port head with the GX type combustion chamber. Never did figure out what it came off of. The head came in a shipment of rebuilt heads. I think it was a late model head as it did not have the oil passage. Had to drill a pasage in the head by hand. This head made for a nice zippy "stock" motor.

If I get the carbs I'll need to locate a GX head to go with them!

Gary first off let me say welcome and introduce myself. I'm in Las Vegas and I organize Rally-X and Rally Sprint for the Las Vegas Region SCCA. I also have just swithced from running my 1200 at SCCA Regionals to vintage racing. Plus California Rally Series is going to have a couple of Tarmac Rally events so I will run those as well. It is very ironic that you posted today , I wore my Oregon Rally Goup T-shirt today , hmmm Karma? By any chance do you know Ben Bradley or Trevor Donnison?
On the carbs and manifold does $100 sound fair? If you ever come to Vegas pick March and come to our Sprint.
