how disapointing

last night a 1300 mazda 323 gave me a rev at the robots, i killed him until i hit the freeway, then he shat all over me.
i have to fix my problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nicholas please do not take this the wrong way but....... What are you doing racing guys on the open road. Even with the motor only pulling 4350 rpm's your still doing 85 MPH. The standard Dastun brakes are pretty weak so look out if some idiot pulls out in front of you while you're going 85.
I don't know much about motorsport in your country but you definitly need to go to some sort of track day. Here in the USA we have great acces to track days,Racing,Rallycross and Autocross so street racing is kinda pointless. If you have access to these entry level events get to one right away , your in need of a fix. As far as your motor problem , this is what a stock 1200 will pull regardless of wieght in fact it also sounds like your modded 1200 is even less aerodynamic than the stocker. It is possible the car is running to rich this will cause the motor to flatten out. I run a modified GX motor in my 1200 race car and at one of the fastest tracks in the USA it only pulled 6500 RPM's with a 4:11 final drive. Tom

Oh yeah..And watch out for those Robots..I just saw Terminator 3, and that SkyNet thing is out to get us all.
ps. I know that traffic lights are called robots in South Africa. A strange name I think. In Moscow, I heard they still have manned traffic lights, and when it's late at night, the men go home, and the lights stop working. It would be harder to have traffic light drags there, they'd write down your plate number and the police would catch you at home... I also agree that speeding in excess of the speed limit, or losing control of your car in wheelspin is a dangerous activity. On a track you can get as "out of control" as you want.

Go and spend a night with you'r local ambulance/paramedic service,i gaurantee that you will never speed again!!

exacually right i classify my ute as same as a motor bike cause if u get hit its gonna hurt! no matter what speed even though i say that i still street race but not stupidly! and not with other people in my car!

maybe its because im only 25, but i think a quick lap arround the neighborhood at full throttle is an exellent way to spend a sunday afternoon, and once i hit the highway, forgettabouit... im going for land speed records!!!

I do ride bikes and before going taking up Motorcylce Road Racing I used to ride like a lunatic. I had this lovely habit of using the pipes on my RD350 to lever the rear tire slightly of the ground so I could slide the bike into corners , about the instant the thing would try to high side I'd roll on the throttle and rocket out of the corner. This a great technique for turn 5 at Willow or the tower turn at Firebird but it was reeeealy dumb on public roads.
So G-Love I understand being 25 and a motor head but..... Phoenix has three tracks. Arizona Motorsports Park has several track days $150 and you can run your street car. The Arizona Region of SCCA has a strong Autocross program. All you need for either event is a helmet and the entry fee. The other downer about street racing is most of the people doing this are not the best drivers. Do not mean to seem arrogant but when you run on a track you just get so much more time than you can imagine. At a typical SCCA club race event I'll get 45 laps a day . Think about it , on a 9 turn road course that is 405 corners a day all taken at WFO speeds. Plus you quickly find any weakness in your technique becuase you are out there with 35-40 other drivers some of whom have been doing this for 25 years. 6 races a year X 25 x 405 corners= 60,750 corners - you get the picture. look i might have upset some of you with my post, but it was late, no other cars on the road, and i dont normally race around untill auto-x day.
