Im thinking of fitting an a14 or 15 into my sedan and was just reading on the marty bugs site that if u use a 1200 ute crossmember, the a15 bolts straight up. Is this true? I really want to do an L18 swap but it looks like WAY too much work,has anyone here done it?

what you have been told is true, if you can pick up a ute xmember the engine will drop straight in and you will also have to change your alternator wiring.

Yes, that's right according to many people who have done the x-member swap.

The A15 also bolts up to a stock crossmember if you make a simple flat plate with two holes in it.

In other words, the engine crossmember is no big deal. The A15 is very close to the A12, and the oil pan causes no problems. The exhaust might even bolt up, depending on how much clearance yours has. I used stock non-modified exhaust.

Be careful with the Marty Bugs site in general. I was looking at the Stanza strut upgrade and was nearly sold before I was reliably informed that there is insufficent bump clearnce for standard and lower ride height. The 200B strut swap is the way to go.
