Well im in the process of rebuild a A12 i got and counting up the parts today and counted 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.....7 ???? :(

Engines at school for a project so my guess is someone thought oh look that will make a good projectile :(

You will need a brand-new lifter.

Used lifters should not be interchanged, but only put back in with the same camshaft, in the original position. If they get mixed up, get new ones.

reason why is that cam lobes and lifters wear to each other at break in, and become as a matched set. if you were to put a used lifter on a new cam, or a used lifter from one cam with a different cam, it will cause premature wear.
you can put new lifters with a used cam and have no problems.
save yourself a lot of headaches and get a set of new lifters from a quality manufacturer
the factory number is 13231-H1001

engine is just going to be reassembled..
