MAD MAX CARS Interesting. Mostly the big three. But they say they'll ship anything. I want a Mad Max replica Soooooooo bad! Any of you know how much I would pay for a base model(Falcon?). I'd buy it myself in AU & ship it home. The conversion kit is in the US. So cool!!!! With the price of muscle cars in US, I'd bet these AU cars become more attractive. I love my Dattos.......but a Mad Max clone?!?! YEAH!

here you can get an XA,XB,XC falcon coupe for as low as AUD$2000 but thats a shocker, $6000 is avergae but a real sweet one would be $10-12000, there is also the cobras, which were the last 600 built, they just recieved a very sweet paint job and serial number but sell for over $25000

This is why I got out of the whole affair
You have those guys plus these guys http://www.aussiecoupes.com/ and me.......so I gave up the whole idea. Mind you my speciality was Toranas not Fords. Hence Aussiemusclecars.com died a sad and quiet death.

Hate to be a smart arse but only 400 were built. 100 were 4.9 litre V8 manual
100 were 4.9 litre V8 auto (softies) 120 were 5.8 litre V8 auto 50 were 5.8 litre V8 manual 30 were "Bathurst" specials - which had cool features like strut brace, idler arm brace, thermo fan, transmission oil cooler and bonnet scoop. I would love a Cobra, sure there body is similar to the American styling of that era and the white with blue stripes is nothing new (GT.350 Mustangs etc) but there is something special about 'em. I love the styling of the XA/B/C's. Thats why I daily drive the big XB, while the 1200 is reserved for race duties (one day!). I still have this other shell that I would love to put a SR20 in, dream dream dream. :) Simon You can view topic.
