Hey Guys, how's things.....
Well i have not been on for a while, work has had doing 16 hour days for the last few months and when it comes time to play, well there aint none !!! Anyway, I am just about to start to build this 1200 Coupe CA18DET "yes i know Andrew, about time i can hear you screaming from Mudgee" for the coming Improved Production series and pondering a few thoughts. Wanting the car to present as good as it goes on the track, i am having trouble thinking of a colour, what do you guys think is a neat colour for a 1200 Coupe, considering that it is going to be a track car ???? Meanwhile i am off to Bathurst to go and drink & dream about a 1200 Coupe diving up the inside a Mazda hard under brakes with the inside fornt wheel of the ground as it hits the ripple strip on Hell Corner..... ohhhh bring it on !!! and if you gonna be there, msg me and we will organise to have a beer or twenty together Cheers Peddler

Black is the number one pick for me at the moment but the problem is tha ti cant seem to find a picture of a black car and second point is that a few mates are telling me that black is gonna be to hot for a turbo'd car....... but as per your train of thought, i recon a black car would look friggin mean !!!!!!!

yea i got the same point from pepole........also a problem with black is the ripple's you will see if you dont get most panels 100% perfect, hard colour to get right.

Black would be good for the simple reason there is not many black 1200's around.
And I will probably be going to Bathurst, not quite sure yet. At the very least I will make it to the street party Who else is going?

Hi Peddler
Black always looks good on cars but the panels need to be perfect before it's applied or you won't do it justice. I have seen a couple of silver 1200s and they looked really good. But if it's going to be a race car you will invariably cop some panel damage so white is probably the best option. I know it's a bit boring but light colours are easier to maintain. Matty

On older cars with crome bumpers etc I prefer darker colous.
Gun metal would be nice but im yet to find a pic so in the flesh I may change my mind Or black like already said. Or dark green or dark blue or dark purple So many choices. Have to get a dozen datsuns ![]() You can view topic.
