#1 SR20DET in a 120Y
Team_Dat Posted on: 2003/11/13 6:53
is it legal in W.A?
how much to do most of it myself?
is it cheaper to source parts or get a half cut?
what brakes are a good conversion?

and i have been told that hilux diffs are really strong is that true and would a hilux diff take the punishment of a slighly worked SR20DET?

90% sure its not aloud but 2 make sure check with your local engineer..
costs will be about installed in standard with computer and aftermarket computer will be about 6000$ pending on if u wanna change your diff brakes.. ect
hilux diff will hold any sr20det or ca18det from a fully bombed or standard motor as the axels are the same as a 9''diff would be a sweet ride witha sr20det wish i could of installed one in my ute! but ca18det is just as good as a sr20 if not better.

brakes upgrade disc's and calipers
ive got venterlated disc 's with Girlock caliper.
just buy the motor box and wiring loom, radiator ..
save u money for other thing's that will be needed for the conversion..
hope this helps..

geez, that sounds like a real tight squeeze. grant from performanz in welshpool has that setup in his 120y drag car. have you seen it? he had to cut a big chunk of strut tower out to clear the turbo thats the size of a damn pumpkin!
