It"s almost 7:00AM here,and I"ve been up ALL-NIGHT,trying to straighten out my computer.(not fixed,but back-on-line) We started with 7.0-installed 9.0-systemfailed,taking important files with it And I ended up with 6.0--It wont even UP-GRADE to 7.0!!THIS SUCKS!!! Now,I cant get on my favorite sights(I was SHOCKED to log in here!,using my original name,NWDE lost my complete registation file--I tried to RE-REGISTER-but I cant log on-even though My file is no longer there,My log-in name and pass-word is still in use!GAAWWWDD!!!I cant even get them to reply to my E-MAIL!! First move..get the hell off AOL. They are a internet service provider for people who have no idea about anything. I hope you have other options.

As for any websites losing your login information. That's impossible. You need to remember your username and password (for all websites), instead of letting the web browser remember it for you.

I like to keep an organised list of usernames and passwords for websites in a folder in my email. Otherwise I'd end up in the same boat as you everytime my web browser (or AOL client) decided to stop working.

Get an independent email account (like Yahoo mail or hotmail). That way you can change ISPs at the drop of a hat and not worry about it. AT&T has a $10/month deal.

I hear ya!! Randy,the WEB MASTER-at northwest datsun enthusiasts,is STILL trying to figure out what happened,or what AOL,or I did. We"ve been keeping in touch w/e-mail,and He"s tried pretty much everything to let me log in to my original profile,but in the end-actually,he"s still working on it-I re-registered as a new member(SUCKS!! I lost all my credits!) so I couldpost on the forum(I had to change my screen-name,too DRFTNDTSN- sound like me after a case of budweiser!!LOL) Tom S

OOOKAAAY!!,Now that I am picking myself up off of the floor,LAUGHING MY A__ OFF,!------my wife is glaring at me-I think she wants to hit me for laughing,,,,This is what started it all! We recieved a CD:ROM for YAHOO DIAL(sponsored by our local phone company) and,while I was at work,She was going to surprise me,and down-load it before I got home-The poor girl did not read the fine print saying that in order to save important files of windows,,YOU HAVE TO UN-INSTALL YOUR CURRENT A.O.L.!!! She stuck the cd in,started the process,and-as they say-The Rest Is History At least for my current version of windows,that is!It was about time to up-grade,anyhow,now I have an excuse!! Tom S.
