I bought a 280Z today to use as a daily driver for a bit. I couldn't get a pic of it before it got dark so I had to get creative...

OH I LOVE IT :D

In australia we didnt get the 280z the 260z was made till 1978 then in 1979 the 280zx came in..

What engine does it have ? L28 ? 2.8lt L Series 6 :D

2 Seater by the looks

How much you pay ?? 5sp manual ?

No offence but i would consider doing it up more then the 1200 unless your 1200 is off its nut which it most likely is :)

Take a look at www.classiczcars.com :)

1. L28E (EFI 2.8L)
2. 2 seater is the only way to go. I can't stand the roof on the 4-seater.
3. $1000 USD, and no it's an auto. That will be changed VERY quickly. I'm already gathering the parts to do the 5spd conversion.

It's is a 1975 model (first year for a 280Z here), with around 99K miles, same owner since 1980.
He always kept it in a garage too.

What head ? what block ?

Between #1 and # 2 cyl on spark plug side there should be one of these markings

n42
n47
p79
p90
p90a

And on the injection side at the bottom front of engine will be block number..

eg F54 N42 :)

I feel i know a bit about the L28 so if u need any help im more then welcome to help a pround Z owner :)

Check out Don Macleans 260 at

wellington motorsport

Currently out to 3100cc, with the help of an LD28 crank, it's a beautifully sorted car..
