hey all,
tell me what you'se think of this.
i just got offered a datto 1000 ute.

unreg'd
in matt black primer
very straight.
minimal rust.
HQ ute tail lights.
new sills.
drums front and back with new cylinders.
smokey A12.
whiney gearbox.
good tray.
okay interior.
new exhaust.

it's a drive home job, with permits, for $1000. it's basically a good rolling shell ready for paint.....

Go over it carefully. A mat black primer paint job can hide all kinds of evil. But what the hey, go for it .I didnt even know that they made 100 utes untill I saw this post.

Check the floor thoroughly and the sills 4 rust
also if you have a chance check under the guards. I wouldnt pay more than 300 for it.
Utes can be got for under 2000 for a good runner with front disks, reg and rwc.

no more than 300 eh....?
that's a sizeable price slash.
i'm assured this guy has metal plated all rust, and only use bog for a skim coat. a magnet test will reveal the truth though.
but i will check the floor pan - cheers.

fridge magnets are good for that because they are quite weak. I'd be checking around those HQ ute taillights too... It does sound over priced for a clunker
