When I get around to doing mine,(I plan to build a turbo a engine after I finish my s/c )
I am going to use a sidedraft SU or stromberg off some pommy sh1tbox. The advanage is that they are going to be easyer to flange up to the turbo intake.

P'raps you chould see a doctor. Nasty cough you got there.

The blow through design has a lot to offer, but to reply to the question posed, a single SU, of suitable dimention would be a good choice. I suspect that a 1-3/4" or 2" might prove affordable & obtainable without too much drama, & will give you a few cheap thrills.
You can upgrade to the blow through type later if your engine survives your enthusiasm, & the smaller carb might just help in that department.
