Are fuel filler caps available at local parts shop? repco / supercheap or something?
I had a quick look at supercheap but I cant find any filler caps at all.

the rubber on my cap is really worn out .... the rubber sticks on the filler opening and its like melted as well.

Hey
should be easy to find, try going to a wreckers first as they will be very much cheaper, if not ask over the counter at repco and they will have one, might have to order it in if you want a fancy chrome one etc

why not just go to a bearing and seal place and buy a new rubber??
Maybe a cheaper option and you dont have to chase around for a whole cap.

It was some years ago, but none of the auto parts stores carried them. I had to get one from Nissan ...

actually this if for my 2dr 240K sorry I forgot to mention it to my 1st post.

But i checked and they look similar to my sunny's cap, I heard that you cant just put any cap as fuel might leak, i saw one post here as well...
anyway Nissan dont have anything anymore, and local wreckers dont have 240K anymore i tried already there's one Kellys but the cars there dont have the caps
might try repco
thanks for all the replies

Super Cheap dont stock any for 1200's but can order one. I had a lady come in with her sedan (original and immaculate!) and we tried heaps of caps but couldnt get one to fit. She took one that was a good fit but it leaked. She swore that 120Y ones and 1200 ones were different, but our catalogues said that 1200 and 120Y were the same. The filler neck was stock.

I asked her to sell me the car but she wasnt parting with it. She has had it around 30 years, its gone around the clock about 3 times with no mechanical failure. She gets it regularly serviced and looks after it. This sedan is sweeeet!
