Okay, heres how it went today. After finding that things didnt line up last weekend,it was decided to modify the blower mounting cradle, rather than try to modify the manifolds. The nessesary mods were carrried out on thursday, and today was the mock up to see how things are going to look. I put everything together, and found that there is a very specific operational sequence to assembling it. Having sussed it out I soon found that with the new s/c location I needed a longer belt.
(This was only after a full on mish trying to change the front pulley, wound up using a 1/2 inch powerbar and a 600mm length of pipe to undo the nut)
Blair(Whos_your_datty_1200) was up for the day to offer moral support, and take some photos, which hopefully he'll post for me.
With the longer belt it was discovered that I'm going to need a second tentioner wheel to prevent the belt rubbing on itself. But thats no biggie.
So tommorow, I can take it all apart, give everything a final clean, and hopefully put it all together for good. And hopefully Blair will post the photos, so at last you can all see what I have been waffling on about, and maybe some of it might even start to make sense!
