Hey Nicholas, I was wondering if you can price a new steering box from the 1400 Bakkie for me from Nissan SA. I contacted them but they said I have to contact Nissan in Aus...but Nissan Aus wont list it or bring it in. I have no luck all round the wreckers here either. They are small and relatively easy to ship, do you think you could help out? By the way May The Force Be With You on your A14 install!!

at the very least remove the plugs and get oil pressure first, then make sure the fuel system is primed, cooling system full and timing as close as possible (static time it if you know how). If its had rings, don't let it idle for too long, get it out on the road ASAP and drive it.

Hi Nicholas, good luck with the engine I know how nerve racking it is to fit a new engine, If I can give you four tips.
1.check the oil level
2.check everything that was undone
3.check the oil level
4.start the car and do not let it idle, bring the revs up to about 2500 rpm for one minute this will bed the rings in and not glaze the bores and have someone to watch the oil light.
Good luck and let us all know how it went.
Ade
