i am after a 4 new shock absorbers for my wagon (fitted), roughly how much should i be putting away for this? and whos best? eg pedders, munro, etc?

also is a 1968 wagon like rare? is there ne pre 70 1200's round?

Bilstien is top shelf, and KONI are very good too. but for a everyday street wagon with mild Aseries any of the brands you mentioned are fine. i have munro's i think they cost me $120 -145 around those figures.

Best bet is to give John Taylor at Penrith Pedders a call - he has heaps of experience with 1200 suspensions. He even raced a 1200 wagon!

Datsun 1000 vans [wagons] are quite uncommon, but i would not call them "like rare", & one was [is] for sale here.

As for pre 1970 Datsun 1200's, now there's a rare one. From available material, it would seem that they were produced from about January 1970, so any pre '70's would likly be prototypes & pre production examples. One of these would be a treasure.

b120dat that was $120-$145 each, and fitted right? ill go see john at pedders on tuesday thanks teretonga.
And my wagon is supposidly a 1968, as thats wat is says on rego papers, would there be any sought of way to chase this up like would nissan have my car on some database?

i got a 72 wagon, the dates is written on the ADR's plate providing no ones changed it. i was under the impression mine was a 73 till i checked it.
