Does anyone think that a chatroom would be good to have???? Maybe some feedback from our hosts. I know that a chatroom would interest me.

I reckon that we update our details in our profile for MSN or Yahoo chat and communicate that way. Easier and cheaper for the web administrators. We dont want to put too much of a financial drain on them...they do this for the love of the Datsun 1200 and the people around them and dont make ANY money from this site. In fact it probably costs them to run it.

Thats a good idea, no one can look up the history on msn though, so really thats the only downside

the argument against chat is that the tales told are not recorded for all to read, so people will miss good conversations on mods and updates and stuff that we would all like to know about

i do talk to a few members on msn though, and also post good stuff i find out along the wy so others dont miss out

I have both msm and yahoo, yahoo u can save messages, but like 1200 RC said some times the chating going on in msm/yahoo needs to be posted and I feel that having a chat room on the site would also cost more and may just be the last straw that breaks the camels back.

Its an idea that appeared some times, back at the time we where on yahoo clubs we had a full feattured chat room, but it was not very used. Perhaps of so differenr Time Zone among members

Actualy we have this funcionality inside the club. Its like a shoutbox where the current online members can shout and communicate more quickly. An History is kept and can be reseted.

I just thought it would be a good idea if you really needed to know something you could ask in there and get an immediate response if the people in there know.

Msn messenger and Yahoo is a good idea if you know who has the information that you need. But that is the problem how do I know who to message???

But if its at a cost to our hosts then they are already burdened enough. I just thought that it may be something everyone could benefit from.
