Know that i have my ca18det can anyone tell me were to get a stumpy gearbox will wreckers have these often.
I have a ca20 gearbox from my FJ20t 1200 ute but the gearstick was to far back for my liking.What is the length differnce once bolting my old ca20 bellhousing to the stumpy compared to the ca20 itself anyhelp would be much appreciated,

stumpy boxes are in r30 skylines.these have l24 6 cylinder engines.the best way to tell,other than measuring them,is the hole in the transmission tunnel is oval shaped.if the gear stick comes up at the front of the oval,it's a stumpy one.& they are bloody stumpy.

try northern wreckers on the northern road at londonderry,they have a couple last time i was there,but it's been a couple of months.or rushes at blacktown,they had about 3 at one stage,but i haven't checked recently.

Thanks 4 the help i got quoted $450 for a stumpy box!!!! what a joke!!! i heard there not even very strong.I think il bolt the ca20 gearbox up and just move the handbrake back. This gearbox held up fine behind my FJ20T and they cost $50
