What carby choices do I have?

I'm looking for a carby to suit my mild a14. At the moment it is running a stock carby and doesn't really offer much above 5000rpm.

Could I just fit a a15 carby to make it go a bit better + plus it bolts straight onto the manifold.

Or is there a manifold thay I could buy remembering it is not an oval port head to suit SU carbies ie. 2 strombergs

Also I don't want to muck around with webers. I already have a 32/36 sitting there but don't want to stuff around changing jets.

Lastly are there any other good carbies that will bolt straight on to the stock manifold.

Thanks

Hi Freak

The best advice I can give, and I think alot will agree with me, is to put on the 32/36 that you already have.
Even if you put any other carb on that you want to do, you will need to tune it.
Rather put the 32/36.

Is there any guys out there that can maybe help him with some jet settings for his 32/36 on a A14?

If someone here can give you some jet settings for your application then you will be halfway there in solving your problem with jetting.

Goodluck

Yeah, but if I just put on a carby off a 1500-1600cc motor jetting should be pretty good. Also Su's are easy to do, there is only a single needle that needs to be changed.

Also 32/36 is up for sale. I'm pretty sure I don't want to use it.
No one can really tell correct jet sizes.

Freak, the A15 carb is the same carb as the A12 carb (Hitachi DCH306). So it still won't give you much over 5,000rpm.

A carb for an L16 will be jetted differently from what an A15 needs ... any way you look at it, to get a bigger carb you will need to rejet it -- or pay someone else to do it by buying their service or already-jetted carb.

If you use the B210 jetting listed here on the site for the 32/36, your engine will run well.
