I was wondering....I was at the wreckers yesterday and noticed an alloy radiator off an Auto N13 pulsar with the 1.8 "world engine" in it (biggest misnomer if there ever was one!!) ...anyway it seemed to have an inbuilt auto trans cooler, as it had two oil inlet pipes going into the radiator. Would that be correct???? As I want to use it for the race car. Also what fitting on the oil filter connection can I use to have a remote oil filter and cooler.

That is totally correct. I've also used a FWD Corolla Radiator in my conversion history, and it too had an auto transmission cooler in it.

You'd have to make up or buy a remote filter connector, surely they are available?

So first of all youd buy a remote oil filter mount, then pipe the oil lines into the auto transmission cooler (in the radiator). This is assuming that it has enough flow potential, so that the engine is not starved of oil at the wrong moment.

Remote kits have an adapter on the block, and a filter mounting bracket that attaches to the the body of the car.

If you use a water-cooled oil cooler, be sure to use a lower temp coolant thermostat to keep the oil below 200 degrees. The oil will often run about 20 degrees hotter than the water. Sorry I don't know what it would be in Celsius. (except that 212 F = 100 C). Maybe the current racers can comment.
