Top mount intercooling is crap, you don't get the efficiency like a frount mount, hence why no one advertises top mount intercoolers in performance shops, plus in some peoples cases there may be clearence issues, I wouldn't recommend trying it

cheers

Im setting up a subaru water to air inter cooler on my ca18 in my 1200, i think they might be the way to go, there isnt much room at the front of a 1200 so this will go in with out having to cut the whole front out,
Hey i wonder if the ca16 inlet manifold will go onto the ca18 and if there would be enough bonnet clearance.
has any one got any ideas on this. or seen it done??

Somewhere on the site is a pic of a 1200 with 13BT engine and top-mount intercooler. It's a nice fit. A weapon indeed.
