The ca16de cams used to be readily available a few years ago but once word got out they made more power with the ca18s they where snaped up & up went prices ect. Ive been told that running two exhuast cams does basically the same thing as they have more lift and duration to the inlet cam. I have this to go into mine but have not had it runing to get tuned ect I will be dynoing with stoock cams stock cam gears then changing the cam and cam gears to see how much difference it all actually makes. If your going teh whole hog on your head I can sugest 2mm bigger exhuast valves pocket porting ect ect. Steve Newwing did this work for me made a big improvement right through the rev range. His Ca18de is now making 242hp@8100 !!!! and 1998cc!!! I wsih I had that in my coupe would make an awesome under 2 ltr club car

Andrew, that big hp must be due in part to some seriously high compression, right?

CSL Cams in Palmerston North welded me up a pair of cams for the CA16 many years back..

Had to throw out the hydraulic lifters, and convert to shims (Feral says to use RB26DETT ones) Wish I'd known this, took an age to turnup , harden and grind some...
Used Crane valve springs, and bored the spring seats down into the head to get the lift I needed.

Made good HP, and it only ran on 45 DCOE's
