How Do i remove my steering wheel

i have a saas steering wheel fitted and need to replace some rubber washer to stop play in the wheel for rego, ive removed the wheel and now i am faced with a bolt with a nut inside the boss kit when i remove this nut i get stuck as i still cant remove anything else.
any ideas or help greatly appreciated

i tried what you said who your datty but still no luck??
Is there a chance it cound be rusted on, it doesnt look like it.

Any other ideas?????

wd40 and patience. You might have to use a bearing puller.

Don't hit it with a hammer. The 1200 collapsible column, is only held solid by 4 nylon/PVC dowels , they are about 3mm in diameter each.

Cheers dattodude, i read what you said about the column in a post i found in the search, being a '78 will mine have the collapsible collumn or the straight stick.
I guess i'll have to go and get that WD40, what is a bearing puller????
