Good to see a magazine not just going for imports.

Yeah I got it a month ago..at least. I really like the hot Austin. What a best of a project. Put I'm a bit concerned about the location of the fuel pumps near the exhaust.

Havent seen the mag. The owner is thinking of putting a chook cooker in the Datto? Rotors belong in Mazdas, I heard a Gemini blat past me the other day and it was buzzing. Plain wierd, why a rotor, but more importantly, why a Gemini??

this is the green one with chromed rocker cover?

Just a ricer... No performance upgrades at all.
Big wheels, paint and airbrushing...
Going to put a rotor in it...
Just like all those people in hyundai excels are going to do to them after they put bonnet scooops and mag wheels and exhaust tips on them...
I'll be you he never will... he will buy a lancer or CRX or something within a year with a body kit and big wing and obviously a monster tacho, and probably sell the 1200 to someone else...

The world if full of pillicks who do stuff like that. I loathe all that ricer crap. A car ,if it's all kitted out HAS to go fast as well, or else whats the point? When I get My s/c1200 engineered, I am going to take great pleasure in humiliating dickheads with all show and no go. However, an old car is allowed to look good without the go to back it up. I can appreiciate old cars, but new stuff has no soul.

Geez guys I havn't seen the car in question here but why does it get you guys so worked up? because he has gone for looks or "ricer as you put it" over performance, thats his choice isn't it.

Does he proclaim it to be fast in the story???????????

Man, such emotions. What's wrong with looking good, even if there are no performance mods? After all, that's why coupe body styles were invented ...

Yes , why does a nice car have to go fast ?? my 1200 may have 15''s on it and everybody thinks it looks tuff saying put an SR or FJ in it, but I have no plans on working the motor to make it go faster (been there done that)If I want to go fast I'll buy another bike.My car looks good and runs like it came out of the factory so why would you want to tear it down ???
All I'm doing is cleaning the engine bay up and chasing some hard to get parts aka wheel covers, wing mirrors, interior venitian, and what ever else I can find to make it look as good as the rest of the car .
The only major mods are the subs and amps .
Let's just say it's nice to be different .

I don't mean that performance isn't needed either, both my cars cars go preety hard and I have always had preety quick cars but I don't see the problem with other people having body kits and wheels and stock engines either. What ever makes you happy I suppose.

maybe some of these people do that stuff due to insurance. Its not easy (soi've been told) to insure turbo/modified cars CHEAPLY. I reckon they look like twats but each to there own. They have some kind of passion for cars so good on em. Who really gives a S%@t if its a 4,6,8,10,12 or a rotary. Who cars if the cars bog stock, got a huge stereo, etc. Variety is the spice of life and I hold no ill feelings, towards baseball wearing people with wings attached to their cars.
