My expenses are just silly, so I won't break it down.

Your 10,000 doesn't include the cost of the original car..I'm sure.

I wanted to keep the receipts for my rebuild, but there's been so many receipts for work done or parts..I've lost track.

Probably the best thing.

Mine is about $4500 including cost of car at this stage. Cheap race car. Will be finished for under $6000.

The budget (if you can call it that) for the Sunny race car was $20,000. I will have spent every cent of that by time it hits the track..... in fact we are getting pretty close already.

Luckily for me, I bought the shell with the cage already in, the engine has all the good bits, and the Motec M4 pro already had a number of additional features unlocked. Otherwise, it would have cost even more.

$35,000 to this day. Still got interior, paint job and detailing to go. Estimated $100,000 in total when finished, but I'm building mine to out do the Purple Convertible and win the summernats top prize for all 1200 fans.

Ok DiscoStu wooops my ass in the budget stakes.

That's incredible...but unfortunately quite believable.

Mine will be done for less than 30000.
But an extra 10,000 would make it really nice.
