This is not necessarily so.
The A10 & the A12 from Datsun 1200's are the same as each other, as these had the additional hole for the rocker oiling.
When the revised A12 was introduced in 1974[?] it used a diferent method of rocker oiling, & this additional hole may not be present in gaskets listed as being for the 120Y & A12 Sunny's.
A14/15 engines used a diferent gasket as these engines went to the larger 76mm bore size. You could use the A14/15 gasket on a late A12, but i would be a bit shy about using a late A12 gasket [small bore] on the A14/15 block.
The early A10 & 1200 gasket should be OK on a late A12 as the extra hole in the gasket does not interfere with anything.
The last head gasket that i used in my GX was an A14/15 type, & i used a wad punch to make the extra hole that was necessary for the early engine's rocker oiling. I needed to use this gasket as i had a 76.5mm bore size.
Feral is making some top notch head gaskets just for crazies like me.
