did a search and couldnt find anything except "tighten post till wheel doesnt spin then undo one turn", may be a stupid question but what are the posts and would having a different sized spring on each of the handbrake L shaped things going to the drum make much of a difference

go down to your local seconfd hand bookshop and you may even pick up a Datsun manual printed by nissan.
