Are there any high intensity globes to fit into the 1200 Headlights?

Or can any one recomend a good brand to put in for brighter headlights?

Could i put in xenon globes with a bit of work?

Little Help

Henry

Before uprating the bulbs, it's a really good idea to uprate the electrics with a relay setup [assuming that you haven't already done so]
A relay, along with good wire, will make even the boooring old sealed beams work better. I used Hella inserts with ordinary 60/55's & was amazed with the result.

Make sure that your altenator is delivering the full rated voltage. Once this is correctly adjusted, along with a relay setup, & some H4's, darkness will never be a problem again

Too right! For the hour mucking round it takes to put relays in, they are well worth it. Before i put relays in, my lights were only getting 11 volts.....which means light intensity was down about 20% on what it should be. Now with relays (and a power wire straight from the battery) i get 13+V (with the engine on) and a whole lot more light.

What I did was....... Put in new wiring and relay's, so the headlight switches are only turning the relay's on and off. This way light are getting all the grunt they need. I also have put in new lights, the semisealed kind with H4 narva + 50 globes. Its like running 100watts on high beam.....

Another vote here for the Narva H4's. I had them put in with new wiring, relays etc and the headlights on my 19 year old ute are now better than my fiancee's brand new Mazda.

I was wandering around 'pick 'n payless' last week and I picked up a pair of H4 headlights (with 55/60w inserts and rubber backing) for $15.

They came off a Honda 'City Pro', not sure what year model, perfect fit for the 1200.

I just need some time to sit down and figure out how to wire in some relays.

Yep buy the narva kit and some relays from repco bout $100 you get the moulds to replace the sealed beam globes and light bulbs I think 60wLB and 100wHB you can even add extra lights to the mould with the fittings suplied these are tops well worth the time and money.
