What is the model number for the 1000? Is it B10 or something else? Also what is the model of the first 200SX? ie the one before the S110?
Strange request I know...

NZDatman

Like the 1200 model, there was a base identification code, & some prefix & suffix codes to more closely identify specific bodies & features.

All the models had the base code of B10. Below is a list of codes & modifiers.

B10 was for both two & four door sedans. DeLuxe or Standard,.. Right drive

LB10 was the left drive version of these sedans

B20 is the code for right drive utes

LB20 is the left drive ute. ALL the utes appear to have been standard models

VB10 is the code for right drive Vans, [DeLuxe & Standard] sometimes called wagons.

LVB10 There is no listing in the parts book illustrations for a LVB10, but an examination of the van body shows a parts breakdown of the left drive dash & the page is clearly marked [Van, Left Drive] & individual parts are listed as being for"Van R Drive" & "Van L Drive" so the model must have existed.

KB10 is the coupe in right drive. There were no left drive coupes.

KB10 U I have no idea what the "U" means, but it's possible that it refers to the export model, or possibly the Datsun version of the car instead of Sunny. [or vice versa]

K[L]B10 U This is a model code listed in a sales brochure that i have, but the [L] is a mistake as there were no left drive coupes.
A study of the parts breakdown of the body & dash did not reveal any reference to any left drive part for a coupe.

I hope that this helps. If you have a car that you want identified, then let me know the whole chassis number & i'll see what I can do.
