Let me explain something to you guys that have no idea about prestige motoring.

This 1200 was all original i.e. no SR20 (DF1200) or worked A15(TOMMY) it was ORIGINAL.

Therefore thats why they are worth so much.

Just think about it....... Would you prefer to buy a car that has been worked and thrashed or something clean, straight, original, and reliable.

This ute was really rare as not one spec of rust was anywhere (due to being locked up for 15yrs from original owner i would say).

Anyways guys i got $9800 which was pretty close to the mark. The only reason i dropped $200 was because i kept the other 4spd box.

When you buy your next car have a think about it would you prefer to buy something that has been thrashed and put together by a underpaid 18 yr old kid who had no bodgied everything up????? Thats why some cars drop and others keep there value!!!!!!!

I agree with you BUL33T. A done up datto (and yes I have one myself) is worth less than a straight and tidy original. That is what many people are after because in quite a few years time, nobody wants the dattos that have been played around with, they want the ORIGINALS! They are worth the dollars!! I am not against modifications but they definitely do not add value like many of you wish/hope they would. I like the CA18DET speed in a Datto but if you want CA18 then buy a 180SX. Oh, and performance also does not add dollars. I still like your ute Tommy, but your arrogance (due to its coolness factor) with it does not give you the right to hassle this nicer sounding ute. Someone bought it too so it must be worth it.

I have a reciept for every bit of work done to my ute to show what its worth i could build a 1200 ute back to standard for alot cheaper than $10000.
Anyway good on him for finding someone dumb enough to pay that price.

You can't just add up receipts to find a value you dumbf**k!! You guys (and not all CA18DET owners) have to get your hands off yourselves you w****rs and get over your CA18DET obsessions. Not every datto should have one.
