You mean box removal or tie rod end??
If the hammer trick doesn't work, and it usually does. Try the hammer trick whilst keeping some pressure on the tie rod end with a lever or buy a cheap small ball joint fork.

I think I mean the tie rod end.
The short (5-6 inches) moving arm that is connected directly to the steering box at the bottom, on the right hand side.

I dont ant to remove this short arm from the box end, but the ball joint end.

That is then connected to the longer arms that go left to right.

I alwasy get confused with arm is which.

With the ball joint fork, what is the go with that??

This is Pitman arm, ball joint fork is just that, a tapered fork and you hammer it in between ball joint and pitman arm and it should pop apart, but I would perservere with the hammer thing, just get a hand from someone and get them to hold pressure on the other part to help.

Oh and if that doesn't work, swear at it, get your mate to have a go and Murphy's Law says it'll come off straight away for him.
