For sale, Datsun 60 series five speed box. This is an overdrive fifth box. It has the dogleg shift pattern. (reverse over first)
It's in fairly reasonable condition, but is a bit whirry in fifth gear. I would like $400 for it. Freight will be extra, but I am willing to send it to wherever.

what is needed to put it behind a 1200 ute with an a14. will the driveshaft need modifying ? is the crossmember the same as the 4spd ?

Sorry, I meant to say $300. You will need to make a new Xmember for it, and modify the reversing kight switch. I am 99% sure that the tailshafts are the same.

It's a very easy swap, as swaps go. The 1200 driveshaft is used. The only tricky bit is making the backup light switch work (I simply plugged it on mine). Details and pics are near the end of 5-speed Overview

with my 5 speed i just grinded the reverse switch off then filled it with silicon, nothing has gone wrong in the six months ive been driving it

i had to Cut my tailshaft to fit my 60a 5speed box. I have heard that others had to cut thier shafts and others that didnt have too, so i guess it depends on your 1200? for some wierd reason. Maybe there were slight difference's with each 1200 year model..
